Mine is from Remotes World (a.k.a. Lumote). They sell a generic preprogrammed remote that has a mini-USB port and capacity for three more downloadable profiles. Their app* allows you to
  • store even more profiles on your PC,
  • learn physical remotes, on-hand, into their system and
  • move keys around.
Each key is coded into a hex string.** All profiles, downloaded or learned, are in the XML format, so they are easy to trade among others using this system.

At my request, they sent more profiles for free, but that seems to be limited to their warranty period.

Most of their profiles have been correct, but some took some back & forth to get corrected. I originally purchased it to replace a lost OEM remote that was no longer available for sale. I keep it, primarily, as a reference for unavailable OEM remotes rather than using it full-time.

(I would like a copy of that JVC master file.)

*It can be downloaded from
https://rcactivator.com/RemotesWorld-RCCreator-Win.exe
I have a PDF manual for that app, as well.
**That makes it easy to share individual keys, too.

The Robman, were you still getting together that JVC Master Upgrade?

I was waiting to see if your TV responds to the upgrades that I have posted. There's no point in building a master if it doesn't respond to the basic codes.

Cool. 8-) I'll report the results here.

PS: Do you have a device# & OBC for SAP/Audio Language that I can add to the first test?

I'll look for that once you test the upgrades that I've posted for you. It's not worth me spending any more time on this if it turns out that the basic upgrade doesn't work.

You said the keys that I found were consistent with upgrades you knew about (except PC In & Component In).
None of the upgrades offered in this thread align with the keys I already have. I found https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1372 , but it is missing more than just PC In & Component In.

So, comparing the 3 upgrades discussed in this thread, which buttons do not align?
1. The first upgrade that I posted for you link
2. The upgrade that you created link
3. The most recent upgrade that you found link

I ask because, I suspect that you are not actually testing the upgrade but are instead analyzing it. This is why I've been reluctant to do any more work on this.

I found more on this viewing, but these are still missing,
03.021 HDMI IN &
15.156 MUSIC IN.

15.160 HOME is labeled ICE APPS.

Is there no SAP/MTS/AUDIO LANGUAGE in this set?

I didn't ask which functions were missing, certain buttons will always be missing from certain upgrades as either that user decided not to include it, or because that device doesn't support that function. That's not what "align" means.

Align means that when both upgrades include a function, they have the same device code and OBC. For example, all 3 upgrades have 3/4 as Info/Display, 3/19 as Input, 3/24 as CH-, 3/25 as CH+, 3/30 as VOL+, 3/32 as VOL-.

Anyway, as soon as you tell me that you've tried an upgrade and it works, then I'll spend the effort to build a master file.

This upgrade has been corrected following a limited play test.
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=27134

The Ent[er] key OBC had no effect. The OK key performed all of its described functions.
The Previous Channel key had no effect.
The Closed Captions key duplicated the Component In key.
