I have 00090 for cbs news, they both work. Most have double efcs for the same command.

Rob, does @MrMoody files for the Hisense Roku tv match exactly with tv 10178 or variant?

The Roku protocol only supports 0-127 as OBCs, so any OBCs in the range 128-255 will be duplicates of the earlier OBCs. If you subtract 128 from the 128-255 OBCs, you'll get the real OBC. I know you work with EFCs which makes this less obvious, but 00098 is OBC 80 and 00090 is OBC 208 (where 208-128=80).

This worksheet can be used to convert EFCs to OBCs:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/worksheet3.shtml

I forget Ed, do you have a computer? I seem to recall you mostly use a tablet. But if you do have a computer, even if you don't have a JP1 cable, you can still use the RM software to view upgrades and to quickly convert EFCs to OBCs and vice versa.

As for the MrMoody question, if you're referring to this post, he lists 2 files:

This file is NEC1, dev 4 which is TV/0178, TV/0030 and many others
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=25184

This file is Roku, dev 234.199 which is TV/4398 (the standard Roku TV code)
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=25185

We have the following Roku upgrades in the TV section:

Insignia NS-48DR510NA17 Roku TV (NEC1 134.5)  = TV/1780 & more
Hisense 55U1600 (NEC1 dev 4)  = TV/0178 & more
Sharp Roku TV (Sharp devs 1,17) = TV/0818 & more
TCL 6-series 2021 75R646 GoogleTV (RCA-38 dev 15) = TV/2434

The rest of these use the Roku TV signals:

Roku TV Master File (Roku 234.199)
Element 65" 4k Roku Smart TV (NEC2 234.199)
HiSense Roku TV (Roku 234.199)
TCL 5-series 2019 55S525 (Roku 234.199)
TCL_4-Series_43S423_THAA_ROKU TV (Roku 234.199)
TCL P605 Roku TV (Roku 234.199)

I have mini computers from HP & dell:

I have so much trouble opening anything in the file area. It searches the computer for help in opening up the file and internet. Fails in both areas. :(

That photo link didn't work, better to use https://www.imgur.com

The problem you are having with the files is, they mostly have JP1 custom file extensions, like .rmdu for upgrades and .rmir for remote profiles, and your computer doesn't know what program to use to open them because you don't already have RM installed on it. Do you have Java on the mini computers? If so, you should download RM first and run the setup program as that will associate the file extensions with RM.

Rob, remember I was looking for Roku tv code for just Hisense/Sharp Roku tv's that have boat load of efc's, the newer 3660/3880 and Insignia universal remotes have a newer Roku tv code just under Hisense/Sharp Roku tv, its 4740.

These are efc's I found:

00000-starz
00003-yupptv
00004-volume down
00008-volume up
00021-prime
00023-slingtv
00025-showtime
00057-av in
00086-hbo max
00088-youtube
00101-options
00116-espn
00118-paramount+
00120-Roku ch
00122-crackle
00134-mute
00146-power
00148-vudu
00150-rdio
00155-netflix
00183-hdmi-2
00185-hdmi-3
00187-hdmi-1
00196-spotify
00200-sleep timer
00219-hulu
00245-directv stream

TV/4740 uses the Roku protocol with device code 4, sub-device 251.

Just for reference, the other 2 Roku codes are:

Roku STBs:
234.194 - CBL/3061, 5687

Roku TVs:
234.199 - CBL/4410, Game/1151, TV/4398

As you know, I'm always curious to know the OBCs for stuff like this, so here's your list using OBCs:

008 - Power
098 - Starz
100 - YuppTV
130 - Volume Up
131 - Volume Down
137 - Mute
154 - Sleep Timer
155 - Spotify
175 - Options
197 - SlingTV
198 - Showtime
199 - Prime
201 - Rdio
203 - Vudu
204 - Netflix
209 - HBO Max
210 - YouTube
220 - Hulu
231 - Directv Stream
232 - Crackle
233 - Paramount+
234 - Roku Ch
235 - ESPN
246 - AV In
252 - HDMI1
253 - HDMI2
254 - HDMI3

This was important because an update is what allowed the Hisense/Sharp Roku tv's to respond to two different code sets, so an update could take it away.

No, it wouldn't work on Insignia Roku tv, just like it doesn't work on my TCL Roku set either. In my house we have TCL, Hisense, and Insignia Roku tv's.
