Adding RF by Replacing Battery

Post by hhyatt »

I've seen a system advertised which replaces one AA battery in a 2-AA remote with a shorter 1.5v battery and fills the vacant space with a RF transmitter. Does anyone have experience with this system?

The vendor whose ad I saw said that support for AAA batteries would be coming soon. Is this system offered by anyone else who currently furnishes AAA?

I have no experience with it, but I am interested. Can you give any specifics on the vendor?

I've seen it for sale at http://www.surfremotecontrol.com/remote_xtender.html and http://www.bluedo.com/bluedocgi/product ... el=RR-X200

I have no personal experience with it, but I have heard good things about it.
