I've just started playing with programming the remote and have it doing most of what I want. I'm using a 6131 with extender.

I have setup my power key to turn on my cable box (SA8000), TV and receiver but I would also like it to turn the volume all the way down on my TV (Toshiba). Is there a way to simulate holding the volume - key down while a delay runs or will I have to send multiple volume - commands? I also assume I will need to make sure the volume command goes to the TV as the PVR key is setup for V_AUD. If multiple key presses, is there a limit to how many I can send in a macro?

The current setup uses the LKP function, with a short press on power toggling only the cable box, while a long press toggles the cable, TX and receiver. I'll look into TOADTOG once I understand this better but I just soldered in the EEPROM and built my cable 2 days ago....

Rick

With the extender you can nest macros so you can put quite a few VOL- in a few macros called by each other. There may however, be a better solution. I believe in the 6131 extender whatever is the last command in a macro will repeat if you hold the button while the macro is running. So, if you put X_TV;VOL- at the end of the macro and hold the button down until you are happy with the volume level on the TV you are good to go.

Does your TV always show "MUTE" when its muted, or does this display time out after a few seconds? (I've seen both)

If your TV does the latter, just send the mute code instead.
