I downloaded and installed the RM (Remote Master) program. This added both an "RM" and an "RM IR" launch link to my start menu.
I choose to launch the "RM" program. The program started and let me know that "No RDF files were found" and proceeded to let me navigate
to the proper folder where those files exist. Next, it did the same for MAP files. After that, a window flashed open quickly and then
immediately closed. The application obviously aborted. I opened the "Windows Task Manager" and watched from the "Processes"
tab as I attempted to open the RM program again. Again, I saw the RM application Open, then close right away. Next, I opened the
"RM IR" application and this application opened correctly, ready for use. I looked at the links used to open the two programs and
noticed that both links opened the very same application. It's just that the "RM" link passes the parameter "-km" to the application.
I'm trying to use the "RM" program because the tutorial I'm going thru (JP1 - Just How Easy Is It?) uses that application and I would
like my screens look the same as what I'm reading in the tutorial. What could be the problem? I'm using Java 6.0, build 24
Should I use KM instead, since the latest version appears to match the tutorial?
RM not running
