IR Definitions ?

Post by Sam »

Not sure what to call them exactly but is there a list explaining what some selections in IR are for ? I'm referring to X_AUD, T_TV, M_DVD, ETC. I think I understand that V is for volume and T is for transport but not sure about the rest.

I think if I know these it may help me figure out things I want to do easier, I hope.

Thanks

It depends on the extender

C_ are channel
M_ are Menu
O_ are other keys

X_ are temporary devices. X_TV would set all groups to TV until X_Cancel or the macro ends. X_ are extremely useful.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I think you'll find that the extender instructions explain these terms.
