It appears that a toad tog toggle of toggle three or five also toggles toggle one. My TV requires approximately a 9.5 second pause after power on before you can send an input select command. I use toad tog # 1 track TV power and eliminate the pause when the TV is already on. I use discrete ON and OFF codes in the TV force on and force off toad togs. A short key press of power toggle the power (and associated toad tog) of the current device) while long key press power turns everything off. Long key press of a device key turns on everything required for the activity and sets inputs. I use toad tog three to track DVD power and toad tog five to track PSX (DVD recorder power)

You don’t need any of my devices to see when the 9.5 second delay occurs.

A long key press of DVD turns on the DVD player and the TV with delay. A long key press of TV will switch to TV without delay. A second long key press of DVD will switch to DVD without delay.

If you toggle DVD power once before the long key press TV the 9.5 second delay occurs even though the TV is on.

On the other hand if you toggle DVD power twice then the switch to TV occurs without delay.

If I use shift power (that doesn’t do anything with toggle three) instead of power to turn off the DVD the switch to TV occurs without delay

The same thing happens if you use PSX instead of DVD.

I have already tried new batteries and a 981 reset.

My partial workaround is to use shift power to turn off the DVD player.

In the following table TT is the toad tog number, ON is the key for discrete on, OFF is the key for discrete off, "-" no discrete, CODE is the device code

Key TT ON OFF CODE
360 6 - - 0505 FAT+
AUD 4 - DOF 1135 AV receiver
CBL 0 - - 1877 SA 8300HD
DVD 3 PLAY* DOF 0400 DVD player
PC PWR* GREEN* 2012 Firefly Mini
PSX 5 - - 1240 DVD recorder/VCR
TV 1 DON DOF 0758 Vizio TV
VCR 2 DON DOF 1525 Blu Ray
DON DOF 2001 Sony VCR

* indicates not a true discrete code

VCR toad tog 2 tracks which multiplexed device is current active on the VCR key
All other toad togs are power
Although the TV has both discrete ON and OFF it requires a delay of approximately 9.5 seconds after it is turned on prior to accepting input select commands. The TV power toad tog allows eliminating the delay if the TV is already ON

A more complete description of my setup and my IR file is in the ZIP file.

Bill,

I vaguely remember something like this in an earlier version, but you corrected it.

Jim,

Are you certain you're running the latest version?

You are using an extender version that I don't understand.

Your IR file tells me that the extender is V1.10, which is not one that I ever released. 1.01 was the last of the V1.x extenders before I moved a whole bunch of things around and cleaned up a lot of stuff.

mdavej correctly points out that there was a bug a long time ago in the ToadTog that impacted all of the JP1.3 extenders. If I remember correctly, the bug was discovered on the Comcast 1067B but the code was the same across all of the extenders.

I suggest that you get V2.10 from the download area and then report if this is still going wrong.

The past issue was that when a "side" of the toad tog was empty, the toggle wasn't changed. This was fixed in v2.0 of the extender

I must be looking in the wrong place but I don’t see anything newer than 1.10

Can you post a link to the correct file?

Bill, your Atlas extenders are at v 2.10, but your RS 15-13X extender is indeed at v 1.10
