|
|
Hi, Just a post to see if I'm on the right track to build a serial JP1.2/3 cable using the IC. I've placed the build onto a stripboard design.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=8333
Will someone verify that I've plugged the components in the correct places please?
I've used the Serial connection colours as in kernowkoi's guide
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7756.
Points to note:
a) I've discarded the capacitor for simplicity, as TT mentions that it is not important.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10294
b) The diagonal links only connect the endpoints!
c) There are cuts underneath the horizontal resistors R3, R4 & R5.
d) I've assumed pin 10 of the IC is not used.
d) I used DIY Layout Creator http://www.synthdiy.com/show/?id=2489
Edit: I've just amended the original version a little to make it clearer and given it a v1 suffix. I have also created a v2 version that looks a little neater.
I'll be grateful if someone can check that they are correct so that the may be used for building an interface cable. Thanks. |

Anyone care to comment?
I.e. is it correct? Will it work? Will it damage the pc or remote if I build it?! |
