upgrade wav to get code 0847 onto urc-9960

Post by Kairi »

Hi. This is my first time in this forum and the first time ever I've come across JP1. I must say I'm a bit overwhelmed with the wealth of information here. Effectively - below is my cry of help.

I'm after a wav file of code 0847 to get my UK Sky digibox to work on my new US urc-9960 (as it was working on my old urc-7555 perfectly with that code)... Would there be a slight chance that someone would actually have this already or could do me a huge favour and make one for me? I've searched in the files and read through so many posts here that I have a headache, but I'm afraid that making that wav file is beyond me. As I know the exact code I need I wasn't sure if I still needed to fill out the code search template...

I would greatly appreciate if someone would be willing to help. Please :)

Check on the back of your Kameleon, does it just say "URC-9960" or does it say "URC-9960 B01" ?

Looks like I'm not having much luck with getting the code into my new remote. Luckily it's just this one device that's not working, so I can try and use the learning feature.

In order to find the code 0847, we need to know what kind of code it is, because there could be up to 4 different codes with that number (audio, cable,tv, video). In this case there is an Audio/0847, TV/0847, Cable/0847. Which code do you need?

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I'm looking for code 0847 for my satellite box. Would it be the same code as for a cable box? In the meantime I actually managed to teach the remote some of the main functions I needed. I only asked for the code here in case it was easy enough to get - don't want to burden anybody :)

I'm still interested to try the code though if I can get it, but at least I have the remote working with the learned keys for the time being.

Thanks for trying to help

Using this upgrade in the file section, I created a wav file that has the upgrade and the protocol for the cable 1848 which should operate your cable box just fine. You may not like the way I placed the buttons, but you can always download the tools and arrange them the way you'd like.

WARNING any previously upgrades entered will be over written by this WAV.
