WOW! Still using the classic 15-1994! Love that remote! There is an upgrade in the file section for your exact box, so I don't know how closely you searched the file section, but here's a link to it.

I'm still using my 15-1994 too, and I've got a bunch of spares, so when the kids mess up one, I can just load another while I clean the original.

I'm not sure why the upgrade in the file section won't work for you - perhaps you have not set the unit code correctly? I noticed that THAT upgrade was set for unit code 7. What is your box set to? You have to ensure that they match.

Also, I know this is a radical idea, but why don't you just LEARN the signals you need with the 1994 and build an upgrade from scratch? It would have taken a lot less time than all of this back-and-forth posting.

It was likely the unit ID

To set the Unit ID on the Dish boxes:

1: turn the unit off
2: press the system info on the front panel
3: aim the remote at the unit and press the record button

if the unit number was different, you should see it change.

Also, the 301 upgrade may or may not have had the DVR transport buttons in it so those may or may not work (like the skip forward, back, etc)
this JP1 stuff is a sickness!
