LG BD390 Blu-Ray Player

Post by fessman »

1. Device: LG BD390
2. Type of device: Blu-Ray player
3. Year: 2009
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-8910
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6269
10. Learning remote question? n/a

The BD300 from the file section includes most functions, but I'm specifically looking for the 'PIC MODE' button which is only accessible from the remote.

Thanks in advance.

Try adding this quick little upgrade, then test the numeric buttons (plus ENTER and TV/VID) and the transport buttons to see if any of them are the function that you're looking for.

If any of them do anything, please post back to say which button it was and what it did.

Here's a list of which OBCs are assigned to each button...

OBC - Button
055 - 0
073 - 1
077 - 2
078 - 3
081 - 4
082 - 5
084 - 6
087 - 7
091 - 8
092 - 9
093 - Enter
094 - TV/Vid
095 - Rew
096 - Play
099 - FWD
100 - REC
119 - Pause
120 - F.Rew
122 - Stop
123 - F.Fwd

Is Pic Mode, the button that would control the ASPECT ratio?

If so I'd recommend trying the Aspect Ratio from Video/0741, since that one is specifically listed for the LG BluRay.

Video/0741
Aspect Ratio EFC 196, OBC 100

if that doesn't work the asspect ratio from Video/0591 might be another candidate.

Video/0591
Aspect Ratio EFC 036, OBC 076
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I have this player and used the same file for my UEIC remote as in the OP's linked upgrade. I supplemented it with the few missing signals by learning and decoding them and failed to post an upgraded file. :( My bad. It's uploaded now.

Pic mode is EFC 017/OBC 249.
