U-verse sustained keypresses?

Post by Nos402 »

So on my original u-verse remote if you hold a key (such as page up/Page down, or the right arrow) the menus will continue to scroll but on my 6131 it seems to just press once and then stop. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Seems like I'm just missing something simple.

Upon further inspection, I noticed that all my other devices on my 6131 remote keep the red LED lit as long as I hold a button. Only the u-verse device does not. The LED lights up momentarily then goes off even if I hold a button. Odd.

If you post your IR file we might see what u-verse is, and the protocol it uses. If that data is not in the IR file, i.e. if you use a builtin setup code, then youll need to tell more details. Protocols can be tweaked.
Best if you post IR file as well as that u-verse upgrade if you have one.
Are you using the extender? I suspect you are due to the way 6131 behaves when you hold a button.

Thanks.

That's the IR file loaded in my remote (6131 with extender)

It's the cbl device, 1105 that doesn't sustain keypresses.

Problem solved!

Using another learning remote to learn from the original remote, I noticed a protocol difference which I fixed. Thanks!
