I have a jukebox whose power button is very inaccessible...
But I have a ac plug that can turn on/off any appliance connected to it via a (RF) remote. However, since it's rf, I cant use my single universal remote!

I'd really like to get rid of this special remote... is there a IR to RF adapter that I could program to control this RF ac plug?
I'm assuming I'd have to first capture the rf command that the plug needs, and program an rf transmitter to send it when it gets a ir command... this capturing might be tricky too, no? |

Here's an inexpensive plug-in power switch that will learn a remote signal and give you ON/OFF control of the jukebox. It's not perfect. It has a reasonable range, but responds only to remote signals with carrier frequency below 52KHz (that leaves out RCA signals) and might respond to more than one button of the remote. But for $5.68 shipped it's worth trying.
