Do we need a new section (perhaps in the Miscellaneous group) specifically for testimonials, reviews, and recommendations regarding remotes and specific brands and model TVs, receivers, satellites, DVDs, etc ? Every six months or so it seems I'm trying to suggest a device or new remote to a friend, or look for one myself, and I wind up sending e-mails to one or more of the more active forum members who stay up-to-date on this sort of thing. Recommendations appear from time to time now, but they are scattered around the forum. My question is, should they be grouped together for easier searching and to encourage more participation. This suggestion admittedly has a lot of downsides, including subjectivity of opinions, potential for misuse by vindictive persons with equipment problems, etc. But the collective strength of forum members to find, evaluate, and bring attention to products with merit could be a powerful tool. Probably price information should be excluded.
