URC-8810w VPT and the Aux Device Button

Post by bgc99 »

I know that the device type of the upgrade assigned to the Aux button must be Audio in order to preserve VPT. If I choose the Amp device type VPT works on the Aux key but results in 3 key moves. I checked the DAT and Tape device types and they both show no keymoves, but when I paste the device upgrade into IR, DAT and Tape show up as VCR/DVD device types. I assumed that DAT and Tape would be Audio device type, am I wrong?

Thanks,
BGC

Isn't DAT digital audio tape? Wouldn't tape be casette or reel to reel since video tape is covered by VCR? Just curious.
