I have a strange setup..
But in short I have a low cost HDMI and a AV switchers.
Purchased at different times...
Just found out that the 'IR' Command for button one causes action on both switch boxes..
Now the AV switch is used to change the AV source to remote rooms...
Any suggestions on how to get away from the AV crash(one command working two devices)??

You get another brand switch box that uses different codes, replace the controller with another that uses another code, or build a translator, to convert from one code to another. The latter two likely require some DIY, in particular coding for a microcontroller. |

I have hear the suggestion of using polarizing filter foil applied to the devices (one turned 90° with respect to the other) and to the RC in order to control two devices with one RC. I have not tried it myself, nor do I know a suitable source for the polarizing foil... |
