Customising Remote Keymap in keymap-master

Post by mwinters »

I have a remote, its a "Total Control Platnum Universal Remote 6 function" Their product code is TPC-6 and it appears in IR as a URC-7560, the remote itself has the code on a label URC-11-4160B00

The key layout is similar but not the same as the URC-7560 in keymap-master..

I was wondering how to customise a keymap so I can print out meaningfull keymaps.. (also would make creating these a bit eaiser..

The differences appear to be..

keys enter,sleep,exit dont exist (wish these were there)..
Key auto is blue so auto/blue would be a label.
and..
stop -> stop/green
record -> record/yellow
sp/lp -> red

The remotemaster has a remote URC-7560B00 which is very close, though it has the buttons that dont exist on this.. (and remotemaster doesnt seem to handle a couple of protocols i need)

Any help would be appreciated..
Mathew.

That's really not an option in KM, since there's no way for the user to customize a remote keymap. I tend not to add new remotes to KM until one of the experts can work their magic on it.

You could easily create a customized RDF (or have one done for you) for use with both IR and RM, assuming you can figure out the proper button codes, etc. However, if RM is lacking some of your necessary protocols, it won't do you much good, since the protocol details are an integral part of a device upgrade.
