I applied this upgrade to my URC-9910 remote for the subject VCR. My question is that the buttons tab in RM has a Shift column; how do I utilize this on the urc-9910?

In advance thanks!

Just press (and release) the Set/Setup key before pressing the key you want to shift. When shifting a numeric key, you must shift twice.

If you are using an extender, you don't need to double-shift numeric keys.

Thank you; I'm far from getting into the extender (at this point) 'Surprised' To utilize Shift do I hold Set down until code set appears? Thanks

Do not hold Set. Press and release. Some might say click. Then press the key you are trying to shift.
