I have a Slingbox Classic and I am seeking a compatible code/bin file for my VCR (Panasonic NVFJ760) that includes the ‘Timer Rec’ button.
Ideally, I would like to add, ‘Timer Rec’ as a custom button into the bin file that’s already built into my Slingbox (IR Blaster Ver. 4) when I select Miscellaneous Device/Panasonic/NVFJ760-2. However, I do not know how to access/modify it.
Using RM, I have been loading into my Slingbox, each Panasonic file listed under the JP1 File Section -> Device Upgrades -> VCR. Although, I have found several files that have the, ‘Timer Rec’ button (I now know its EFC/OBC/Hex is 156/180/D2), I cannot find any files that have all the other buttons my VCR needs (eg. ‘Select’, ‘Exit’) to mix and match.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I think you'll find that all the Panasonic VCR upgrade files use the same device codes and protocol, so what you need to do is open up a spreadsheet and grab all the codes you need from each upgrade file until you have a complete set for your VCR, then use those codes to create an upgrade specifically for your VCR.
When you are done, please load the upgrade file into the file section.
When you are done, please load the upgrade file into the file section.

Thanks Rob.
I have been trying to do exactly that. But for some reason all the ugrade files I have been auditioning with RM and my Slingbox, do not have all the buttons I need.
I find this surprising because some of the missing buttons are fundamental (eg. ‘Select’, ‘Exit’). Perhaps my testing methodology is wrong.
FYI –
I have been loading each Panasonic VCR upgrade file into RM and noting down the EFC/OBC/Hex of the buttons I think are the ones I want (according to their labels).
Once I have a complete list, I test those codes by –
Using RM to map batches of them onto the number buttons of a some bin file (that has other buttons working).
Exporting that bin file into my Slingbox. Firing up my Slingbox and pressing the modified buttons.

OK, I decided to compile the master file myself and in doing so, it appears that there are two breeds of Panasonic VCR. First there's the older models that tend to have the PV- prefix on their model numbers, then there's the newer models with the NV-FJ prefixes (like yours) that have a more advanced code set. Therefore I compiled two master files:
The PV- master file:

The NV-FJ master file:

I think you'll find everything that you need in the 2nd file.
