help with extender for URC-8850_5550 topline 5

Post by denooij »

I do not know if this is the right place to ask this question but I am searching for an exytender file for the topline 5 (URC-8850/5550) because I need more flexible keymoves and macros.

In the file section I can find a topline 5 extender version1 (the 1b cannot be found).
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... &cat_id=61
However they do not include a HEX file to use with EXTINSTALL.
Also there is are three RDF's (normal, version1 and version2) to choose from in IR or remotemaster what implies there must be a version 2.

Can someone help me to find the latest extender for this remote (preferably a hex file)?
Other suggestions are also welcome.
Michel.

I transferred the extender from the yahoo groups file section. It also doesn't have the hex file to use extinstall, so you'll just have to open an IR file using the included bare-bones .txt file and add all of your upgrades, keymoves and macros from scratch.

Thanks, I installed it the old-fashioned way and it works fine.
Now I can get further with my Pioneer DVR project...
