You sound offended, sorry. Noob was short for Newbie, as in you only joined this week. No slight intended. |

Great tip I've been looking for for quite a while..thanks! I have a follow up question however....when you get to the Wide Fit mode how do I move the screen up and down? When using the arrow keys on the comcast remote it just pauses the dvr. Any way around this? Also I've heard of a way you can uses the all on button to turn off everything but the DVR box..is this true? Thanks guys..I'm so glad I found this forum! |

If the TV normally uses it's arrow keys for those functions, you need to program those in the remote since by default the arrow keys on the TV/0702 setup code are not programmed with any functions (I'm assuming you are the same person as the one that posted this post).
Do the same steps as the ones I outlined on that post and use the following codes for the arrow keys:
up arrow = 00197
down arrow = 00201
left arrow = 00200
right arrow = 00199
select = 00069
You definitely do not want to do step 6 in these cases, since that would overwrite the function in the CABLE mode.

You can read this link on how to do that. |
