After lot of search on the Web and this site, I wasn't able to find any jp1 file or any discrete input codes for this TV set.

Just wanted to know if this tv model has any discrete input codes, at least for Input1 to input6.

1. Device: KDL-37M3000
2. Type of device: TV
3. Year: 2007
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: OFA 8811
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? No
9. Partially working setup code? Yes
10. Learning remote question? No
Thanks

Lots of Sony TV sets have discrete input codes, and they almost all match. Have you tried any of the many Sony TV upgrades that have discrete inputs to see if they work? It need not be an upgrade for YOUR SPECIFIC MODEL.

If not, I suggest that you do so.

The Sony codes are amongst the most well-documented codes around, so if the ones you have tried do not work, I would suspect that your TV is not capable of direct input selection.

I assume you've read and studied this sticky post and explored the "other Rob's" Sony code site linked therein. By far the most complete listing of codes for ANY manufacturer.

P.S. It's helpful if you use the template (which is, after all, MANDATORY) when asking questions like this. Wink

Yes, I already have been on the sony codes site and saw also the sticky post.

How Can I tell if my TV is capable for discrete input or not? I think this is the information I need before I try all these codes around.

By the way I dont know which template you are talking about?

Thanks for your help

From some posts on Remote Central, it sounds like that model does not have discrete input codes, or at least, if there are any, they are not the same as the common ones usually listed in the upgrade files here or the ones on the Sony ir code page.
