I acquired about 40 of these nice URC-2910 after I noticed the telling 6 pin connector on a units in the lot. They were I formerly offered thru Charter Communications have successfully communicated with all tried using a simple home made cable.

I would like to sell these in groups of five or more...best offers entertained.

For the experts, even more so, since I need a completed RDF but don't currently have resources, for this I'd be happy to send one to someone who can demonstrate they have knowledge and time available to do this (Rob declined).

Further, on provision of the RDF, I'd then send that individual a few more remotes as we might agree before hand.

Best,

Jon Gottfried

Nothing personal, but this model looks pretty worthless as a universal remote, JP1 or not. No device keys, no transport keys, etc. Is it really worth the effort?

I think the OP is referring to these remotes (is that correct, Jon?), which has transport keys and seems to be a four or five device remote.

Rob had made a starter RDF for it awhile back, does it not work properly?

Ah. I stand corrected. That's a nice remote.

I'll be happy to give it a whirl to make you an RDF. Haven't done one in a while and am working on an extender for the Atlas JP1.3 remotes, but an RDF is a bit less complicated.

PM me and I'll give you the particulars.

Is this a jp1 or jp1.x remote?

Do you have any better pictures or a link to a manual that shows the button layout better?

This is a JP1 remote, and in fact an old-style JP1 remote from the inside.

I've started to work on the update to the RDF. Thanks to Binky for some help.

Thanks to those with constructive comments & sorry that response is just now forthcoming.

Yes, the remote is as pictured. Regarding starter RDF, I didn't test it as it really is just back bone...but based on source I'd say one would be operating from strong foundation.

Anyone have a manual in their library?
