SLV-595HF Date setting

Post by intuitionx2 »

Well I got my SLV-595hf up and running thanks to zaphod. Thanks again.

Now I have a problem. The dates only go from 1992-2007.....

 Anyway to open the dates up a little? Access firmware?

Nope, sorry, it's hard coded in 8k of rom inside the CPU. You just have to go back and find a compatible year within the built-in callendar. Set the date (25th, etc) and change the year until the correct day of the week shows.
Just call me Zaphod (or Steve) --- I never should have started using numbers in a screen name but I just can't stop now.

Thanks zaphod. Not the answer I was hoping for, but it is what I expected. I set the date to 2002. but leap year....... ah well can't have every thing. lol

Well, the last leap year with dates aligned with 2008 was 1952(!)

I suppose most calendars won't go back quite that far.

So after February 29, you'll have to change your year to 2003.
