SLV-595HF Date setting
Well I got my SLV-595hf up and running thanks to zaphod. Thanks again.
Now I have a problem. The dates only go from 1992-2007.....
Anyway to open the dates up a little? Access firmware?

Nope, sorry, it's hard coded in 8k of rom inside the CPU. You just have to go back and find a compatible year within the built-in callendar. Well, the last leap year with dates aligned with 2008 was 1952(!)
I suppose most calendars won't go back quite that far.
So after February 29, you'll have to change your year to 2003.
