A-3: 232
A-4: 244

There is a Monoprice HDX-401 v2.5 part of a complete system iProntofile over at remotecentral. I don't know if we can do anything with icf files though. I've only done things with CCF files.

Could I purchase a JP1 enabled learning remote, learn the codes, extract the protocol and data using IR and convert to 6131N?

If this is possible, what would be the best JP1 enabled remote to acquire for this task?

sleeper, in my opinion, anyone who owns an interface ought to pick up a learning remote. But in this case, someone here may know how to handle ICF files. I just haven't seen that discussed.

Yes you can, although you still might need the help of the experts here, if the protocol isn't identified by decodeir. When the protocol isn't recognized you'll still need the help of an expert. I've been trying to understand what the experts do with those, but its way over my head. That doesn't mean I won't get it eventually though.

If you do pick up a learning remote, you'll want one of the JP1 models because it uses the same interface as your 6131N. You can still find plenty of 8810, 8910 around.

Would a URC 9910 do the trick?

yeah the 9910 is just an 8910 with an added RF transmitter/base station.
