1. Device: Samsung HPT5054, however this unit shares the same firmware as the HPT5064, HPT5034, HPT4254, HPT4264 and possibly other models. Note sometimes the models are written as HP-Txxxx (e.g., HP-T5054)
2. Type of device: plasma tv
3. Year: 2007
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: ReplayTV 4000/5000 series
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, 0702. I know you want the first part of the code (e.g., TV, DVD, etc.) but I don't know what it is. I tried all the Samsung-labeled codes from here, (taken from the ReplayTV manual)... see page 2. A few of these codes controlled the power and volume, but only 0702 repeated the volume command when the button was held down. The TV responded only once to a continuously-depressed volume button for some of the other codes (e.g., 0060).
10. Learning remote question? n/a
Thank you!

There are about 20 various Samsung TV upgrades in the file section. Some are for plasmas. Have you tried any of those?
i.e like the HP-S4253

So what exactly did your "Yes" answer mean to question 7? The Sticky post with that template says:
If that guidance is unclear, please explain how, so that it may be rewritten for clarity.7. Checked the file section?
This is more of a checklist item than a real question. The assumption is that you have checked the file section to see if someone else has created an upgrade for this device but didn't find one. Please provide more details if this is not the case. AND REMEMBER, you don't always need to find the exact model that you have as many manufacturers use the same codeset for all models of a device.

I searched the files section for all the models listed in my original post (5034, 5054, 5064, 4254, 4264). It wasn't until your reply that I thought to check for some of the 2006 models. Sorry if I've wasted your time. It simply didn't cross my mind to check for 2006 models. I figured one of the 2007 models would be listed.Capn Trips wrote:So what exactly did your "Yes" answer mean to question 7? The Sticky post with that template says:
