One last item...

It appears that with the extender, the P8 now synchs its clock with my PC when I upload. Is this another feature of the extender?

Thanks again!

I've installed your new protocol Jason and after a week my remote isn't crashing or losing time my remote is the urc 8781.Great work now I just have to show my wife how to use it,wish me luck. Thanks Darryl P.S. I also
had a problem with the light but all I did was turn on the backlight before
starting the extender.

It's a feature of the RDF that comes with the extender. The same functionality is in the 1.11 format RDf's (the RDF's that are used with IR >= 3.50) if you don't use the extender.

Thanks for testing the new extender and good luck showing your wife how to use it. I think I know the answer, but there's no chance that you're using a device > 50 bytes (you'd see a red warning in KM if you were).
