I am looking code for Sony Receiver model STR-DG1000 to use with 9960.

One problem with your template information - your remote is most definitely a learning remote, so you have all you need to do this yourself. (Original remote, learning JP1 remote, JP1 cable)

The manual (and OFA website) lists Audio Device Codes: 1058 1258 0158 1758 1158 1658 1558 for Sony Receivers. Have you tried these?

Have you read the JP1 for Beginners guides? They explain how to take an upgrade from the file section and tailor it to your remote and there are LOTS of Sony Audio upgrades in the file section (which you claim to have checked), It need not EXACTLY match your device's mdoel number.

And if NONE of those up-grades works for you, then you can learn the functions from your OEM remote to the 9960 and decode them and subsequently build your own device upgrade from scratch.

If any particular step of those procedures is unclear than please ask a specific question.

I further refer you to the sticky in this very forum that addresses Sony codes.

And MORE specifically, THIS PAGE lists every Sony Receiver remote code known to mankind (or pretty darned close).

If you have trouble decyphering the data on that page into the data/terminology used in the JP1 tools, then ask and you will get help, but again, all of the data and tools are readily available for you to build your own upgrade.

I understand but after loading extender for 9960B01 all the learned functions are not working(It is not like 9960B00). So, I was thinking is load it as device if I found device code for. If you have any other idea for this, let me know.

Disable the extender (saving it first in IR), then you can learn, decode, and build an appropriate upgrade. Restore the saved extender and then add the new upgrade.

More specifically, if you have to use learning, save your current (extender) IR image, disable the extender by removing a battery and pressing any key, then re-insert the battery and conduct a 981/MFR reset (there's a sticky post that describes it, if you don't know how), learn all you need, build your upgrade, add it to the extender IR file you saved and upload it bakc to the remote.

I'd still bet that you need not use learning, as almost every Sony code EVER is available on that website I linked above, and you can use one of the other Sony upgrades from the file section as a starting point to build your upgrade, which you would STILL have to add to your IR configuration anyways and upload to your remote, following which you would have to activate the extender.

And you did not answer whether any of the built-in setup codes work for you.

P.S. loss of learning is not unique to the 9960B01 extender. Almost EVERY extender disables learning, including the 9960B00. (I think there's a version of the RS 15-1994 extender that retains learning capability, but am aware of no others)

Forgot to mention that "Learned singnals" from remote is all shows VCR not TV as learned in IR.exe after backup from remote. So even loading same file back to same remote all those learned keys does not work and have to relearn. I did tried to create upgrade file and imported in the new file but same.

To Capn-->I tried built-in setup codes but some functions does not work. All those functions are learned and backup from remote does not show me same as it was learned.

You have the 4k version of the URC-9960B01 remote, do you have the "Force >= 4k" option selected when you upload and download from this remote?

I would recommend that you initialize the memory to all FFs, then do a 981 reset, then download again and save this file. This is the "virgin" file that you can use in the future to clean out the remote.

Then learn the signals from the remote and download, with the "Force >= 4k" option selected.

Are these learns all from the same remote? There are some Proton signals mized in with some Sony and some unidentified signals in the file you posted.

Rob, No. All learns from 2 different remote. One from sony audio receiver and other from Mitsubishi projector. And did not select Force>=4k option. Will try with that tonight.
