Hi.
I have a JU slingbox, and I'm unable to control my ADB model: ABQ-1H4G cable box.
A friend extracted the remote control IR codes for me with LIRC.
I hope that somebody here can help me on this.

Thanks
Ziv

With reading the LIRC file? Or with using RemoteMaster to produce the Slingbox file?

I'll assume you mean the first. There are instructions around here somewhere for the second.

Code:

header 9009 4456
one 595 521
zero 595 1649
ptrail 595
repeat 8975 2249
pre_data_bits 16
pre_data 0xF3F3

If I'm reading that right, it means protocol=NEC1, Device=48, Subdevice=48

All that info goes on the setup sheet in RemoteMaster, along with other info (see instructions elsewhere).

Code:

power 0x000000000000FF00
vod 0x0000000000008F70

Then to fill in the Functions sheet of Remotemaster, you find or type each function name in the "Name" column, then in the "Hex" column you type the two characters before the last two from each of the LIRC lines, so FF for power and 8F for vod.

After the functions sheet is done, you need to assign things on the buttons sheet, which is part of the everything other than reading the LIRC file, in those instructions I mentioned.

I found some of those instructions, so I'll comment on how your use should fit those instructions:

Start at page 3 of the instructions, because you are getting info from LIRC, not from a learning JP1 remote.

Steps 3.4 to 3.6, use the info I provided above.

Step 3.8, instead type in the two character "Hex", and RM will compute the OBC, etc. for you. Also if you can't find the function name you want in the "Name" column type over some name you don't need. The names initially there are just suggestions.

Somewhere around Step 3.16 (maybe it's there and I missed it) you should use the file/save command to save your work as an .rmdu file. Just saving it as .bin files doesn't give you quite everything you would need to pick up editing it later, in case you need to fix some detail and/or share the results.

I need it for RemoteMaster to produce the Slingbox file.

Thanks for the instructions I'll try it out and let you know.
