RCA 50" Plasma and 8910 Remote - Need Code

Post by Wyse Guy »

Hi everyone,
I have been lurking around for quite some time now. Thanks to all for the great info.
I recently purchased a 50" RCA Scenium Plasma HDTV Monitor and decided to get an OFA 8910 w/JP1 cable to run my TV, DVD and Phillips TiVo.
Does anyone have the codes for the RCA PHD50400? I can use the 0047 to handle many of the commands but PIP, Cinema, Go Back are not available.

Thanks!

Try the Advanced Codes for TV/0047.

I saw PIP on the list mark referred you to, but did not see cinema or go back. How about using the 8910's learning feature to learn those codes from the OEM remote? Then go to IR, upload the 8910 to IR, click the learning tab, and let us know what IR tells you the codes are (protocol, device, subdevice, obc/efc)

Also the discrete AV inputs are the discrete On commands for other RCA devices that is EFC 227 for the following setup codes:

PROT:DEV SETUP CODE
RCA:11 AUD_0056
RCA:14 VCR_0060
RCA:13 VCR_0202
RCA:05 DVD_0522
RCA:07 SAT_0392

Some of these may not be in your remote and not all may work but give them a try.

Just in case you needed a start, I uploaded a starter KM file to the HDTV folder at yahoo.jp1 called RCASceniumHDTV.txt. You should probably load it into KM and add the functions I missed and move them to the buttons you would like them on. If you want to just try it, load this into IR:

Upgrade Code 0 = 07 FF (TV/2047)
AF 0B 7A F2 CD FF 2F 2E 3F 2D 2C 2A 08 27 59 58
56 57 90 27 61 1A F4
End

It has the pip on the pip key, the cinema on the info key, and the goto on the exit key.
