I know there are others who have used 1.74 and 1.75 to create/edit device upgrades and haven't had this issue.
Please be more specific about what is happening. Are you using an existing device upgrade? If so, please provide a link. What remote are you using? What protocol? What is the exact sequence of steps (from the time you start RM) to recreate this problem?
The more details you provide, the more likely it is that I can reproduce the problem and fix it.
Simplified steps for trouble-shooting purposes:
- launch Remotemaster
- go to External Functions tab
- click New button
- type a name in the Name field (the name automatically appears in the EFC/Hex field also)
- EFC/Hex field can be editted, but the change doesn't stick (this happens whether the Type field is EFC or Hex)
It just occurred to me that I could put the EFC in the Name field to see if that works, but I don't think that is the way it is supposed to work.
I see the same thing Greg. I am not sure when this problem was introduced but I have used that function recently with no trouble.
There is also some other strange things going on with that panel.
1) If you try to import 1 or 2 buttons the panel goes blank for a long time and if you click on it after awhile it comes back with the correct entries.
2) If you then do another import of 1 button it also takes awhile then places the new single button at the top labeled as number 4.
3) Then try to use the up and down and it acts strange. This is with the new entry created with the name copied to the EFC field and 2 buttons imported the first time and 1 the second time.
