SA Explorer 3200 Upgrade Code

I am looking for an upgrade for a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200 as supplied by Charter Cable

1. Device: SA Explorer 3200
2. Type of device: Digital Cable Box
3. Year: Recent, I got it last year
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Motorola DCP501
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? yes
6. Still have original remote? yes
7. Checked the file section? Tried SA 2000, 8000, 8500, master code
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes
9. Partially working setup code? no
10. Learning remote question? n/a

The 501 remote seems to respond properly to the jp1 cable/IR software.

Appreciate any help for this newbie.

Are you certain that you are testing those upgrades correctly? SA hasbeen VERY consistent in using the same Protocol/Device (Panasonic(old):27) in their cable and Sat boxes.

Try built-in CBL codes 0008, 0152, 0277, 0477, 0877, 1877 to see if any of them work at least a few functions.

Also, you might want to upload the Upgrade and IR files you are trying to upload to your remote (and provide links to them here). Perhaps you are making some simple error like not assigning the upgrade to a device button, that would be easy to spot in the file(s).

I tried the 3100 upgrade

I changed the device type to VCR and after pasteing the upgrade to IR I hit the ACCEPT button on the code page before uploading to the remote.

I had to manually select the code in the remote for the upgrade but it worked for most of the buttons.
