8910 "No response from the Remote. Make sure..."

Post by bpsherwo »

URC8910-B02
ir.exe version 7 beta 2.
Interface > Check Interface
No response from the Remote. Make sure your Interface is plugged into JP1 properly.

I have 2 8910 remotes. Both are functioning fine. But one is not "talking" with my PC's parallel port.

I have performed an Ops Reset - Clr Reset. No Help.

Any Ideas? I believe I have good contact between the 6 prongs and the cable.

Thanks,
Brad

If one 8910 works and the other does not, then you need to look for problems with the remote, not with your cable or PC or IR.exe.

I suggest the varying battery combinations outlined in a sticky post near the top of the Beginners' forum, and conducting a MFR reset, also outlined in a sticky post in the General forum. (I'd go with the MFR reset first, before you start multiple battery combinations)
