Hi all,
Does anybody here know where I can get the discrete codes for Motorola DVR 6412? In particular I am looking for the ON/OFF discrete codes.
Thank you.

Do you know that they exist? As far as I know, none of the Motorola STBs support discrete power codes.

Thanks for the emulation information. I added it to the Wikibook for the Motorola DVR.awesterink wrote:I think you can simulate discrete ON/OFF with macros:
ON: MENU-POWER-POWER
OFF: MENU-POWER

The implication being that the MENU button acts as a discrete on command, is that correct?awesterink wrote:I think you can simulate discrete ON/OFF with macros:

Basically, hitting menu when OFF displays a setup screen. Hitting POWER once will then turn it off. Hitting Power twice turns it off and back on (a drawback is that on a 34xx/64xx series, you will revert to tuner 1, so your channel could change.) If it's ON, MENU shows the mini-menu (if using iGuide), with the power sequence working similar to above.
Basically, the key to hitting MENU is that when it's off, hitting MENU sort-of turns it on to display the setup screen, so that the POWER key now works the same as if it's already on.
