Can't get codes for panasonic TH-50PHD8UK to work

I have a urc6131 old jp1 remote and can't seem to get discrete codes to work.
Power Off 026
Power On 024
anyone using these successfully?

Typically, Panasonic uses 022 for discrete ON and 026 for Discrete OFF. Where did you come up with 024 for ON?

Panasonic is fairly consistent with its codes but isn't entirely consistent with its devices in that some devices lack a discrete on, discrete off, discrete AV input etc. but use all the other usual Panasonic TV codes for Num. Ch+, Ch-, Power(toggle) etc.

I don't know what TH-50xxxx is, but whatever it is, it might need to use a Panasonic Combo protocol with subdevice included. Power could well be on subdevice other than zero. Check the file section for upgrades using the appropriate equipment group (Audio, DVD, TV ...).

The panasonic TH-50PHD8UK is a 50" plasma TV.
I'm guessing that Ed is using the TV/0250 setup code.

Oh. Well, then, chances are pretty good that some relative of 0250 should work.
Try these from the file section
RM file for TH-42PWD8UK, uses Panasonic multidevice protocol (0042, aka Panasonic combo2), it has discrete on and off on subdevice 0, it has several subdevices in the upgrade (I have no RM at work to check exactly which).
KM file for TH50-PX500U, uses Panasonic Combo2, has discrete power functions on subdevice 0. Includes subdevices 0,1,4,9.
KM file for TH-42PWD5, uses Panasonic Combo2, subdevices 0,4, has the standard discrete power functions on subdevice 0.
I'd take either one of those upgrades, change remote, and change protocol to Panasonic Combo which works ok in the 6131 and saves space.

Setup code1250, RM V1.61, IR V6.2. I'll try some of the other upgrade files today.

1) Question for other experts: Can a 6131 have a direct KeyMove for a 2-byte hex command? Why does RM seem to think it can?

I thought the 6131 could only KeyMove by button or by EFC3.

What should RM do with a 2-byte hex cmd and functions assigned to keys that require KeyMoves?

2) For EZ Ed: Does the discrete ON command assigned to the unshifted power key work? If not then maybe your model doesn't support these discretes.

I think RM is doing the KeyMoves wrong (shift-power, PVR_Menu and Thumbs_Up shouldn't work). I think the 6131 is limited enough that RM can't set up the KeyMoves based on just the input you've given (it ought to know that and refuse to try). The KeyMoves can be done in a couple different ways, both of which require a helper setup code.

No can't get it to work discrete on to work with unshifted keys, along with shift-power, PVR_Menu and Thumbs_Up don't work.

Here's a thread where the "new-style" keymoves in the URC-6131 are discussed. Basically, to do a keymove for a 2-byte protocol, use a 1-byte keymove, where the hex value refers to a button number, and that button has to be mapped within the setup code.

Note that the newer remotes using the "new-style" keymoves can use a 3-byte keymove where the first byte is zero, and the next two bytes are the hex value of the 5-digit EFC. As far as I know, the URC-6131 and Atlas DVR can't use this type of keymove because they don't understand 5-digit EFCs.
