I'm already using it! I needed quite a long pause between turning on my TV and selecting the video input. In the case of my DVD player, I was thinking more about those occasions when one might forget to let the player finish its business (reading a disc, whatever), thereby requiring the same command again.

I don't know. Should we start another thread on this issue? The reason why I used the device combiner was that the HT-DDW900 remote invokes no fewer than 8 (if I remember) distinct device numbers (a mix of Sony 12, 15 and 20). Obviously, with my 8811 I wouldn't need all of those and some are probably redundant, so you might be right about the Sony combo option. What do you suggest? My RM file is
