That's awesome Robman. I don't understand a bit of it but I think I can get it to do what the OEM remote does. Thanks so much. If this thread goes any further, I'll be watching. Thanks to all of you Guys.

I'll try that Greg. I haven't downloaded RM yet but it's time I give it a whirl. It probably wont be until Tomorrow though, I'll download it now.
Thanks a lot, Jack |

@ Robman, I just wanted to check back with you and let you know that your DVD-1267 upgrade works flawlessly. I still haven't included the missing functions, but will soon, then I'll have a complete combo upgrade to upload. Thank You.
@Greg, I had a little trouble installing RM. I extracted every thing to a directory and ran setup.bat then received a bad command line, couldn't find setup.jar and setup.reg. I manually ran setup.jar and applied the registry entries. I'm using: Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 Update 6.
It seems to work OK but i get one Java error that says it can't locate an image file for a 9910. I have set the RDF path but only use 8910. I hit OK and it starts up.
I couldn't figure out how to copy and paste the 'raw data' from IR so then I thought you meant the data from KM. I tried that and RM said it didn't specify the type of remote.
Next step was to load the KM upgrade file. I then located and messed around with the manual settings for the protocol. It seems like it created a proper upgrade but the Key Map was totally different from the KM Key Map.
I was probably making errors all through the process, but it's a complicated upgrade. Well, at least I got my feet wet and the RM program has a lot of very nice features. I look forward to using it on something that's easier for me.
If you know where I went wrong , I would sure like to know.
Thank you both very much, Jack |

Follow these instructions to install RM. I'd guess you forgot to install the latest version of the Images and Maps.
To load a raw upgrade from IR into RM, do the following:
- In IR
- Go to the Devices tab, and select the device upgrade you want to copy.
- Press the Edit button.
- Right click on the highlighted text in the Device Upgrade field and select Copy.
- In RM
- Go to Advanced -> Import Raw Upgrade
- Select the correct remote in the Remote combo box
- Select the correct device type in the Device Type combo box
- If the Protocol > FF box is checked in IR, check the Protocol > FF box in RM
- Right-click in the Upgrade Code field in RM and select "Paste".
- If the device upgrade uses a custom protocol (which it does in this case)
- In IR
- Press the Cancel button
- Goto the Protocol tab
- Select the protocol that you need
- Press the Edit button
- Right-click in the Protocol Code field and select Copy
- In RM
- Right click in the Protocol Code field and select Paste
- Press the OK button
- On the Setup tab, change the Setup Code field to match the setup code of the imported upgrade.
