trouble with JP1 cable

Post by Live2Ride »

Just done making my own cable.
only errors from IR.exe
i've just built a parallel cable.

check interface with autocheck with or without batteries : no response from remote
check interface without autocheck with or without batteries : no response from remote

when trying to download from remote i get
did not receive a response from remote (errno=6 param=0)

but if i reverse the connector on the remote i get no response from device ?

any idea

built it using 4 wire from a cat5E wire
had no ribbon wire.
maybe i should try it with regular telephone wire.
i've seen cable done both ways.
using it on a canadian 8811b00 from the source

Glad to hear you got it sorted. Sometimes overlooked minor details can make the works become bollocks.
