Marantz AM/FM Stereo Receiver SR 840

I have tried all of the Marantz upgrades in the files section and none seem to do anything except make the Remote light flash on my receiver. Does anyone have any clue on how to get my URC-8910 to control my receiver?

Too many questions to ask, but I'd start with two comments/questions:

(1) Use the #1 Code Search FAQ (linked below in my sig) template for posting questions of this nature. This gets most of the information posted that we would otherwise be asking for one bit at a time; and
(2) Do you have the Marantz remote? Learn and decode its signals and build your own upgrade.
