I need to find a Daewoo extended code

Hi,
I have a daewoo 13" TV and a URC-6800.
I got code TV/451 to work for almost all the functions except for choosing LINE/[CABLE/AIR].
On this TV, you choose between Cable/Air in the menus.
But the remote has a a button labeled "input" that switches between LINE and what ever you picked in the menu between AIR/CABLE. LINE being the RCA input.

This button facility is what I'm missing

With 0451 working somewhat, 0624 should as well. There are 2 versions of 0624 though, so the proton version may not be in your remote. None the less, for either of those 0451 or 0624, efc 118 should be input.

Let me see if I can clear up some things that should help you move forward.

It's true that some of the older remotes, including the 15-1994 and the URC-6800, have a bug in their firmware which means that you can't mix learned buttons with upgrades that require a protocol upgrade. So, if you're using such an upgrade you can't use learning to permanently fill in the blanks.

However....

That doesn't mean that you can't use learning to capture the button from the original remote and decode it using the JP1 tools.

In this case, if your original remote has a button that's not included in the upgrade that you downloaded, you can learn the button from your original remote using the URC-6800 and view the contents using IR.exe. Even though the learned signals won't work in the device mode that has the protocol upgrade, they will still be visable in IR.exe. Plus, you're not limited to learning them in the mode that has the upgrade, you can learn them in any mode. Furthermore, even if you were using protocol upgrades in ALL of the device modes, there's nothing stopping you from resetting the remote (ie, 981) and learning the buttons, then once you've captured all the necessary info, you can re-load your current image.

TV/0451 is listed in data I have from Rob as using "Audiovox" protocol. I don't recall what that is.

The linked CCF file (for that 26" TV) decodes as Proton protocol, device 20, with OBC numbers matching TV/0451.

I expect that means "Audiovox" is so similar to Proton that DecodeIr can't tell the difference. Looking at the timing data in that CCF manually, I don't spot ANY difference from Proton.

That CCF has a TV/CATV command, that looks like it should be the input toggle you're looking for. But it is EFC number 052, which matches the TV/VCR button in TV/0451, which I would have expected would be the first thing you would try. Nothing else in the CCF looks like an input toggle.

The setup code number in an upgrade is arbitrary. Whoever made the upgrade might not even know it is similar to official setup code TV/0451, and if they knew, they still might not base the setup code number they invent on 0451.

The two posted upgrade for the Daewoo DP42S are the same protocol and device number as TV/0451 and that CCF file, and the power and vol commands in those upgrades match those in TV/0451 and the CCF.

Those upgrades mostly lack the basic TV functions the other two sources have, and mostly contain advanced functions that the other two lack. So I can't tell whether the large difference in OBC numbers means it's a different code set, or means it is a different part of the same larger code set.

Those upgrades include EFC 199 for "Video1/2" which I assume is some sort of input toggle. Have you tried that one?

Actually efc 118 worked. I thought I had tried 628 but the remote didn't recognize it.
