More than we ever imagined. How about 10 or 13

Dev-7 and 8 just need to be assigned to buttons and they need device macros.
I believe you can build macros on any button, not necessarily device button.
Here are examples I use for a receiver and dvd (shift-phantom3 just does more macro steps)
SHIFT-AUD macro V_DEV7;T_DEV7;O_DEV7;X_DEV7;SHIFT-Phantom3
SHIFT-DVD macro V_DEV7;T_DEV8;O_DEV8;X_DEV7;SHIFT-Phantom3
Don't know whether this is right or wrong, but it works for me.

On the 6131n I use advance and replay as dev 7 and dev 8 as they are with the device keys.

On the 6131 old style I shift them as well like liz. If your remote is not extended just make macro for instance shift tv = dev7 for second tv. Or any button you like for whatever device you have.

Good point. I forgot unextended
But this remote really should be running an extender from the beginning, otherwise the conversion to extender is rough due to keymoves being weird. It can be done, but is rather painful.

I agree. I have noticed around here anyway, some folks just don't want the extender for whatever reason.
