I'm looking for a cheap JP1 learning remote to replace my beloved 15-2104 which through much care and attention now rattles and does little else. I live in Canada and want to spend under $30 CDN shipped. Can anyone help me?

Check out Rob's sticky post at the top of this section. (i.e. read the FIRST post in the thread, not the LAST post on page 10!)

You can get either an 8811 or 8910 (both JP1-ready learners, 8910 has an LCD screen) for $27.50 (USD) shipped to Canada. Although it doesn't quite meet your $30.00 (CDN) threshhold:

27.50 US Dollar = 31.84830 Canadian Dollar

I would wager it's the best deal you're gonna find anywhere, since these bad boys are out of production.

Thanks for the tip. I was about to grab up a cheap 8910, but we went to the mall today.... Now my wife has seen the Kameleons and has set her mind on them. All I wanted was a cheap replacement.

I also have the Kameleons, and mine have been modified to be JP1 ready, so you don't need to also buy a $10 pogo-pin adapter. My Kameleons are $39 and shipping to Canada is $7.50 (all USD).
