Is it possible the tuner is the part of the tv that is a sub device. If I am wrong I am sure Capn, Rob, or John will correct me.
The only difference I see in your upgrade and mine for my friend's tv is the sub device. When no sub device is selected doesn't it act as 0?
On the upgrade for my friend the device is 7 and the sub device is 7. Try your upgrade with sub device as 7 to see if the tv antenna part then works. If it does not then try efc 088 like I posted before with sub device still 7. If it doesn't work or makes all other functions not work you can always go back to just device 7.

Thanks for everyone's help.
I checked all the posted links and tried all the suggestions, but was still unable to find the discrete code for TV. Ended up creating the macro as suggested and that solved my problem.

For the NECx1 and NECx2 protocols, the sub-device is always the same as the main device, so RM & KM will default it for you. Therefore, if you just enter a device code of 7 and leave the sub-device blank, it's the same as entering a sub-device of 7.whompus wrote:Is it possible the tuner is the part of the tv that is a sub device. jtabeling, if you're still reading this thread, one additional possibility to try is using either ch+ or ch-.
Similarly to some TV's where if you key in a channel number it automatically shifts to tuner mode, on some TVs, if you are in another source mode, using the ch+ or ch- will force you into tuner mode.
One additional thing to try before settling on the macro.

Good suggestion, but no go.
None of the channel movement buttons "automatically" engage the internal turner - if for example the viewing source was HDMI.
It sure is strange that I've been able to get ALL of the buttons mapped except the TV/Turner one.
