Up until now, Norcent was just the brand of a DVD player to us, but I see that they've branched into TVs too. My guess is that this set will use the NEC1 protocol, but I have no idea as to what device codes it will use.

1) Have you tried doing a CODE SEARCH on the remote itself? If they've re-used the codes for another TV you might get lucky.

2) Have you tried calling OFA to see if they have a code that they can download into your remote using it's modem? If you go this route, ask them to email you the advanced codes for it too. Then come back here and post both the advanced codes and the IR download from the remote. With that info we can build an upgrade file for you.

Did you try the 2 norcent tv codes for the 9960 remote. 0748 and 0824 is listed for the 9960. The 0748 is awia and the 0824 is nec1.

Yep I tried both of the OFA codes - no joy.
Its a goofy factory remote, suppose I could keep throwing codes into RM until I find something that works.

Try one of these 2.
1365 file
and
1381 file

Keep in mind, all buttons may not be in there. If one of them work it will at least give you something to start with and build on.

No luck, thanks for the codes though. There is actually alot of complaints about this tv's remote not having codes available but I know for sure they can be larned, I did actually have some functions learned from the proper remote in a store but at the time I didn't have the JP1 cable to grab a dump from the kameleon after I did the learn session.

Oops! I'm Stupid, 1365 does in fact work, I forgot to hit ok on the remote after I selected it. Thanks so much.

Cheers,

Cool. Good to hear it works for you. I have a request in for advanced codes to complement the upgrades. Have not heard back as of yet. I will leave them in the diag area until I get the advanced codes to add to them then put in the normal file area.

Robman will have more pull with ofa maybe he will request the advanced codes as well for us.

Oh yeah they are just nec1 device 0 subdevice 189.

I updated the 1365 file and put it here in file area with more codes that ofa Europe sent me.

I also edited the prior post for the 1365 to point to this one and removed the prior 1365 file from diagnostic area.
