any way to extend or relay RF signal from urc-9910?

Post by neuro »

Hello. I've had this remote for a long time, but I'm not very advanced with some aspects of it. I could not seem to find an answer on searching, so sorry if I missed something obvious...

I am trying to figure out if there is any way to effectively increase the range of my URC-9910 RF output? I once tried to find a device that relayed at the same frequency, but I couldn't get that to work.

Has anybody figured out a way to relay or amplify the RF output so this works from further away? I use it to control a stereo that sends music (hardwired) to all rooms in my house, but some of the rooms are too far away to allow the 9910's base to pick up the remote control's RF signal and control the stereo.

Any help would be appreciated... thank you!

and search for things like 'rf distance'

looks like a few may have been successful at tuning the distance ...
