Post by sesl »

When ever i try to download from my remote (urc-9960B01) i get this mesage
"The learned command referencesan internal bust table, but the index is out of bounds. This could be caused by an incorrect LearnedAddr in the RDF."
i dont know if im doing someting wrong or if it is something i did wrong in IR?

Maybe one of the other experts knows something more specific. If not then we would need to see the .ir file in order to diagnose it.

Despite the error message, you can save from IR.exe to create a .ir file, and you can upload that to our diagnosis area and post its URL back here.

We'll know more after we see it. But some possibilities are:

Obsolete IR.EXE or RDF files. Are you sure you have the most recent?

Some error in the understanding of 9960's by the authors of IR.EXE and/or the RDF files (in which case you can't fix it but your .ir file may help in understanding it).

The learned signals portion of your 9960's eeprom really is trashed, in which case it may be hard to salvage your learned signals, and you'll need a full reset of the 9960 and/or clean download from IR.exe to get the 9960 healthy again.

well i know i have the latest IR.exe (6.15) and rdf's (1.20) unless they are older versions and i have made the ir file and its at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=2727
and i have tryed the full reset several times and gave up doing that because i dont want to learn all me keys again.

If you are sure you have the b01 version of the remote then you are using the wrong rdf for it. The rdf you are using is for the bj5 version. The b01 version is kasakaso the bj5 is sakaso.

The newest rdf files are 1.25 you can get them here in tools main area.

Your most likely going to have to do a full mfg reset on the remote and then use the right rdf to start over.

The data looks like it was read wrong from the eeprom. I think everything is shifted by two bytes.

I think I remember a case long ago when someone else had that problem, but I don't remember the cause or the solution.

?? Maybe transmission delay ??
