Joytech scart switch (learned protocol: NEC1 - device: 128)

Post by frejac »

Hi!

I've got a URC-8060 (first generation Kameleon) and have learned my remote the signal from the joytech remote. But now I'd like to try the extender, and need to find the code instead, as the extender readme says: " No Learned signal support."

Using IR I can see the following details:
Protocol: NEC1
Device: 128
Sub-device: 255

Button 1 (taking one as example) has:
OBC: 1
HEX: 7F
EFC: 185

Is there any way to find a code and/or upgrade based on this information? I have no luck when I search for the name Joytech...

Thanks!

Your button 1 is the same as the button 1 in the setup code SAT/0368. But I wouldn't conclude that the rest of your device's buttons also match SAT/0368.

I think the URC-8060 does not include SAT/0368 anyway.

It's probably simpler for you to just create your own upgrade (based on decoding all the signals from your device) rather than try to find it already built somewhere.

Yeah...thanks.

I've previously (like a year ago) tried to run the keymap master without understanding what to do, but now I succeded to make an upgrade code that works!!

So I'm very happy :)

Thanks for the reply tho.

For your (and others') future reference: you can learn in non-extender mode, create an upgrade and then load up the extender and use that upgrade as the OBCs, EFCs don't change. When you get a new device and want to learn again then use IR to save you existing (extender) configuration and re-load the old, non-extended version, make the new upgrade, put the extender back in again etc. In other words you can flip back and forwards between extender and non-extender use so long as you use IR to keep backups along the way.

Be sure to load it up into the file section when you're done, and just for history's sake, please post a link to it here.

No problems. Hopefully someone else can have use for it too.

In case a non JP1-er who has a European OFA remote (or can get an official upgrade for a USA remote) stumbles on this thread, all five functions are available in SAT/0368:

Digits 1 to 4 for the Joytech are digits 1 to 4 of Sat/0368

Power for the Joytech is digit 0 of SAT/0368

Yeah, perhaps that works on some OFA remotes, but not on my URC-8060.
