Changed from Combo to built-in protocol

Post by wl »

Thanks to Robman’s tip, I changed from “NEC1 Combo” to “NEC1 Combo (Official)", this saved me some room under IR’s Upgrade from not having to use the protocol upgrade.

I have 2 more devices that have combo upgrades with protocol upgrades, one is “TiVo (Advanced)" with protocol 0041, and the other is “Sony Combo (12/15/20)" with protocol 0127.

Thanks to other users on here, I was able to change from using “TiVo (Advanced)" to “TiVo (Official 2-byte)", which was a built-in protocol on my 15-2117 under KM. I was also able to do the same on the Sony, changed from using “Sony Combo (12/15/20)" to “Sony 12/15” since I’m only using the 12 and 20, and none of the 15 on the “Sony Combo (12/15/20)".

Here’s the problem: On the TiVo, only few buttons work. On the Sony, nothing works.
I did the same on both the TiVo and the Sony as I did with the NEC, under KM I just changed the Protocol Name, and under IR I deleted both the device and protocol, then copied the new device over from KM. What am I doing wrong?
