TV/0056 code uses a variation of the NEC1 protocol where the VOL+/-, CH+/- and FFWD/REW buttons all use the NEC2 protocol instead.

I missed that detail. I didn't notice the NEC2 in the various CCF files for this code set. I'll look again when I'm back on the computer that has those files.

I am familiar with the UDB in the Pronto, IIRC the hex strings start with a 9000+ number

I'm pretty sure udb is only 8000.
The 900X numbers are several other special forms (mainly NEC and Pioneer).

but when it was taken out of context in a thread I didn't know if it was some protocol that I'd never heard of that DecodeIR knew about.

Lest that confuse some lurkers, DecodeIr doesn't know about any kind of Pronto Hex.

DecodeCCF, CCF2EFC, and the JP1 version of IrTools all know about ProntoHex and act as front ends for DecodeIr.

Of those three, only DecodeCCF knows about the udb encoding of Pronto Hex. It translates all the special forms, including udb, by itself without involving DecodeIr. It uses DecodeIr only for the basic forms (that start with 0000 or 0100).

Thanks all for your help with this. I have all the TV's functions working on the 2116. Between the original decoded CCF I did and the TV/0056 from Rob's Devices4.xls file, I was able to put the whole command set together. I'll post an upgrade file after I've played with the key mapping a bit such that it makes the best sense.
