Bell Expressvue 6120 Direct Dish 811

Post by ddutton »

I have the Bell EV 6120 or I assume direct dish 811. I have a URC 9911 B00 remote. I have used the code from the file section for the above dish with both keymaster and remote master. Neither will work. The box is RF will this remote work with it? Help?

If your SAT remote is an RF remote, the URC-9911 can't replicate the RF signals that it sends. You will need to determine if you can switch the SAT box to accept IR signals instead, then try the upgrades that you found.

Thats what I thought. I guesse I'm stuck with 2 remotes. The urc remote is RF/IR but I guesse I can't get it to output the SAT RF code.

The URC only uses RF to comminicate with its base unit for the purpose of extending the range of the remote. In other words, it gives you the ability to use the remote from another room to work your gear.

Like I said, I would explore the possibility that the Dish box can be switched to accept IR signals.

Found it. Didn't have to reprogram reciever. Remote code is SAT 0775. Back down to one remote. Yeh.

That's the standard code for these units, which prompt the question, what code were you trying before?

Didn't know which code to use. I was trying to learn from the remote but the remote only sends UHF signals. Code was nowhere in the literature supplied with the reciever.
